TYO Reach is a service of TYO Lab, an Australian business. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the TYO Reach website and client app, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using TYO Reach you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

  • Account details. When you sign in through TYO ID (id.tyo.com.au), we receive your name and email address to create and identify your account.
  • Payment information. Paid plans and the one-time age check are processed by Square. Square handles your card details directly — we do not see or store your full card number. We keep records such as your subscription status and the identifiers Square gives us (customer and subscription IDs).
  • Usage data. To enforce your monthly data allowance, we record the amount of data your client uses (a running byte total and your current plan/tier). We measure the volume of data, not the websites you visit.
  • Age verification. Where required, we record only that your account has passed the one-time age check (a refundable $1 payment via Square). We do not collect or store identity documents.
  • Technical data. Standard information such as your IP address and request metadata may be processed by our hosting providers to operate and secure the service.

Your browsing

When the proxy is on, TYO Reach routes the traffic of the browser you choose so the sites you visit see a TYO Reach location instead of your own. TYO Reach is built to give you reach — not to record your browsing. We do not log the websites you visit or the contents of your browsing for our own purposes; we only meter total data volume for your allowance.

How we use your information

  • To provide and maintain the service, including your data allowance and plan.
  • To process payments, subscriptions and the age check.
  • To communicate with you about your account and service-related matters.
  • To detect, prevent and address abuse, security issues and technical problems.
  • To meet our legal obligations, including Australian age-verification requirements.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the providers needed to run TYO Reach:

  • Square — payment processing and age verification.
  • Google Cloud — hosting, storage and delivery of the service and app downloads.
  • TYO ID — sign-in and account identity.

These providers process your information on our behalf, and we limit what they receive to what they need.

Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies — for example, to keep you signed in and to remember an upgrade you started before logging in. We don't use them for advertising.

Data retention

We keep your account and usage information for as long as your account is active, and as long afterwards as needed to meet legal, accounting or security obligations. You can ask us to delete your account (see below); some records may be retained where the law requires.

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your personal information, and ask questions about how it's handled. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We'll respond in line with Australian privacy law.

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the "last updated" date above, and significant changes will be made clear on this page.
