Personal browsing or running a team?

Personal plans are metered — pay only for the data you use. Teams is per seat — unlimited data, central policy, static exit IP.

Quick guide

Personal

Use a personal plan if…

You're an individual using Reach for your own browsing — unblocking content, keeping a consistent AU exit IP, or routing only selected apps while travelling.

  • You're travelling and need Australian banking / streaming to work
  • You want selective routing — only your browser goes through the gateway
  • You want to try Reach free before committing
  • You use it occasionally — paying per-GB suits your volume
Teams

Use Teams if…

You manage a distributed team and need one IP address your cloud firewall trusts, MFA on every login, and routing rules that apply automatically to every seat.

  • Your team is across cities and SaaS tools block unknown IPs
  • You need MFA enforced — not opt-in
  • You want policy changes to reach every device automatically
  • High bandwidth — per-seat beats per-GB at any volume
  • Endpoint-protected or locked-down laptops in your fleet

Common questions

Can I start on a personal plan and upgrade to Teams later?

Yes — your TYO account carries over. When you're ready, create a team group in your dashboard, configure your routing policy, and invite your team. Your personal usage continues independently.

What happens when a personal plan reaches its data cap?

The gateway stays running in limited mode — your internet keeps working, but traffic stops routing through Reach. You're shown the top-up page to add data or upgrade. No surprise charges, ever.

Do Teams seats count against a data cap?

No. Teams plans are billed per seat, not per gigabyte. All traffic from all seats is unlimited — this is the main reason teams choose the Teams plan over multiple personal plans.

Does Reach log what my team is browsing?

Reach logs connection bytes for billing, but not URL paths, search queries, or page content. For HTTPS connections, the gateway sees the hostname but cannot read request content. Reach is a gateway, not a monitoring tool.

Can I cancel or downgrade at any time?

Yes — upgrade, downgrade, or cancel from your account dashboard at any time. No lock-in period on any plan.
